Roles and permissions

Choose the smallest role that gives each team member the access they need.

Roles keep sensitive venue settings in the hands of the people responsible for them while still giving service staff the tools they need.

Owner

Full organisation and venue administration, including billing and protected owner responsibilities.

Manager

Broad venue-management access, including bookings, service settings and day-to-day configuration. Billing ownership remains protected.

FOH

Designed for front-of-house service work: bookings, guest context and waitlist operations. Configuration such as floorplan/capacity is not intended to become an unrestricted FOH editing area.

Bookings

For team members responsible for reservations and guest records without broader venue configuration access.

Viewer

Read-only access for staff who need visibility without the ability to change bookings or configuration.

Choose roles by job, not seniority

A trusted staff member still does not need billing or floorplan-writing permission if their job is only to manage reservations. Smaller permissions reduce accidental changes during a busy shift.

Changing a role

Owners can manage the supported non-owner roles. Managers can assign roles within their permitted hierarchy. Owner access is protected from ordinary Team administration.

After a role change, the staff member may need to refresh or reopen TablePace before every screen reflects the new permissions.
