Tables, shapes and seated capacity
Set up table visuals so the floor is easy to read and automatic assignment uses truthful capacities.
Table visuals are deliberately simple. Their purpose is to help staff recognise the room and give TablePace trustworthy seating limits.
Table shapes
Use the shape that best matches how the table works:
- Rectangle / Square for normal dining tables;
- Round / Oval where the real table is curved;
- Booth for fixed booth seating;
- Bar for a bar or counter section.
The exact drawing does not change the guest's booking facts. Shape and geometry primarily make the operator floor easier to understand.
Seat markers
The small circles around a table show its configured maximum covers. On rectangular and square tables, opposing seats are displayed symmetrically. Round and oval tables distribute seats around the perimeter.
Seat markers do not mean guests choose individual chairs. TablePace assigns at table or configured-combination level.
Set truthful capacity
A table marked for 4 covers tells TablePace that a party of four can genuinely be seated there. If the venue would never seat four comfortably, set the table to the lower real number.
Accurate table capacities improve recommendations, preserve large tables for large parties and make Service Mode more trustworthy.
