Common TablePace terms

Booking

A reservation for a guest party at a particular date and time.

Service

A recurring trading period that accepts bookings, such as Friday dinner. A service has its own time window and capacity rules.

Capacity

The limits that decide whether another booking can be accepted. Capacity can include total covers, bookings per arrival interval and other service protections.

Pacing

A way to spread arrivals so too many bookings do not land at the same time.

Blackout

A one-off closure or blocked period, usually used for a date where the normal recurring service should not accept bookings.

Floorplan

The physical table layout for the venue. A floorplan can be edited as a draft and then published for live use.

Table combination

A known set of tables that can be joined for a larger party. TablePace only uses combinations that have been configured; it does not invent joins between nearby tables.

Automatic assignment

TablePace choosing a suitable table or configured table combination for a booking based on party size and live availability.

Booking widget

The guest-facing booking experience you can share directly or embed on your website.

Service Mode

The fullscreen operating view used during service to work from the floorplan and live booking schedule.

Guest profile

Venue-level information about a returning guest, including notes and useful service context.

Waitlist

Parties waiting for a table when you do not want to create a normal reservation yet.

Published

The version currently used by the live venue workflow. Draft floorplans and widget changes do not affect guests until published.
