Arrivals, seating and walk-ins

Move guests through the live service flow and keep table state accurate.

Use booking status during service so the floor tells the truth about what is happening in the room.

When a booked guest arrives

  1. Open the booking from the schedule or floor.
  2. Mark the party Arrived.
  3. Confirm the table when they are ready to sit.
  4. Mark the booking Seated.

Once seated, the allocated table is shown as occupied.

Add a walk-in

Select an available table and use the walk-in/add-booking action. Enter the guest and party information you have.

TablePace creates the booking, assigns the selected table and moves the walk-in through the arrival/seating flow where the operation succeeds normally.

If creation succeeds but a later table or lifecycle step needs attention, TablePace keeps the booking and tells the operator what still needs resolving.

Keep guest context visible

Before seating, check party size, children, highchairs, pram space, accessibility requests, occasions and guest notes. These details are there to help the floor prepare before the party reaches the table.

Finish the visit

When the table is genuinely finished, complete the booking according to the available booking actions so the floor can return to an available state for later service.
