Publish and activate a floorplan
Move a finished draft into live use and choose which recurring services should use it.
Publishing is the point where a floorplan becomes available to live booking and service workflows.
Before you publish
Check:
- every table has the right code;
- maximum covers match real seating;
- table shapes and positions are recognisable;
- combinations only contain tables you genuinely join;
- no duplicate or forgotten tables remain in the room.
Publish the revision
Use the Floorplan publish action once the draft is ready. TablePace keeps revision history so editing and live use are not the same thing.
Bind the floorplan to services
After publishing, choose which recurring services should use that floorplan. TablePace needs that binding to know which room layout applies to a booking date and service window.
A common setup is one published layout used by all dinner services. Venues with different lunch/dinner areas can bind different published layouts.
What happens to existing bookings
Publishing a corrected layout does not deliberately invent seating. TablePace reconciles unresolved assignments against the new published floor where possible, while preserving real booking facts.
After a major floor change, review upcoming larger bookings and table combinations as part of your publish check.
