Guest SMS and operator alerts
Turn booking SMS on or off and choose which booking events should alert the venue team.
Guest communications are managed from Venue settings.
Guest booking SMS
Turn on Guest booking SMS to send supported booking confirmations, booking updates and cancellations by SMS.
When guest SMS is enabled, a mobile number becomes mandatory for new bookings because TablePace needs a valid destination for the message.
Operator alerts
You can separately enable:
- New booking alerts — text selected venue numbers when a booking is confirmed.
- Cancellation alerts — text selected venue numbers when a guest booking is cancelled.
Enter one operator mobile number per line. Australian local mobile numbers and international E.164 format are accepted and stored in normalised form.
Included allowance
Where SMS allowance enforcement is active, Venue settings shows how many eligible bookings have used SMS in the current allowance period.
If the included allowance is exhausted, new bookings continue normally. TablePace does not block a reservation simply because another SMS cannot be sent under the allowance.
Message status
A message marked sent means the provider accepted it for sending. That is not the same as a mobile carrier delivery receipt.
Keep alerts useful
Only add operator numbers that genuinely need real-time booking alerts. Too many recipients turns a useful signal into background noise.
