Booking status and service flow

Understand what each booking state means from confirmation through arrival, seating and completion.

A booking changes state as the guest moves through service. Keeping the status accurate makes the live floor easier for everyone to read.

Confirmed

The reservation exists and the guest has not yet arrived.

Arrived

The guest is at the venue but has not been marked seated yet.

Seated

The party is on a table. The table is treated as occupied in Service Mode.

Completed

The visit is finished. Completing the booking clears it from the active service flow.

Cancelled

The booking will no longer arrive. Use cancellation when the guest or venue has cancelled the reservation.

No-show

Use no-show when the booking remained expected but the guest did not arrive. No-show is different from a cancellation because it records what happened operationally.

Why status matters

Status affects what the floor shows and what staff should do next. For example, a confirmed booking is still expected, an arrived party may need seating, and a seated booking occupies its allocated table.

TablePace keeps the booking record when its status changes; it does not create a separate reservation for each stage.
