First-time setup
Follow the six setup milestones that take a new venue from sign-up to a tested booking path.
Open Setup from the TablePace operator menu after your first sign-in. TablePace reads the venue's real state and marks each milestone complete as you finish it.
The six setup milestones
1. Account and venue
This confirms that your owner account, organisation and first venue exist. Most venues complete this during sign-up.
2. Billing
Add a card to start the 3-day trial. Full product access begins after checkout succeeds. You can return to Billing at any time to view or manage the subscription.
3. First service and booking rules
Open Capacity and create the first recurring service. Set the days and times you accept bookings, normal table time and the limits you want TablePace to use when deciding whether another booking can fit.
A service is the booking window for a trading period such as Friday dinner. You can create different services when lunch, dinner or different days need different rules.
4. Published floorplan
Open Floorplan, create the tables in the room, give each table its real seated capacity and publish the layout.
Publishing matters because TablePace uses the published floorplan for table assignment and live service. Draft changes do not replace the live floor until you publish them.
5. Published booking widget
Open Widgets and configure the guest booking experience. Preview it, save the draft, then publish it when the wording and guest fields are correct.
6. Test booking
Use Support & testing → Test booking to complete a real booking through the published guest path. Confirm that it appears in Bookings and can be allocated correctly.
When Setup is complete
TablePace marks the venue Ready to take bookings when all six milestones are complete. From then on, Setup remains useful as a quick health check, but your day-to-day work moves to Bookings, Capacity, Floorplan, Service Mode and Operations.
Recommended order
Do not spend time perfecting every advanced setting before the first test booking. Get one normal service, one accurate floorplan and one working widget published first. Once the complete booking path works, refine pacing, blackouts, table combinations, communications and other operating details.
