Why a booking may be unavailable

Work out why TablePace will not offer or accept a particular time or party size.

When TablePace says a booking cannot fit, it is usually protecting a rule you have configured rather than failing randomly.

Check these first

  1. Service window — is the requested time inside an active service for that day?
  2. Blackout or override — has the date been closed or changed?
  3. Party size — is the party larger than the service or available tables allow?
  4. Pacing — has the arrival interval reached its booking or cover limit?
  5. Table availability — is there a suitable table or configured combination free for the full booking duration?
  6. Published floorplan — is the correct live layout available for the service?

Test without affecting guests

Use the Capacity test workspace to try a date, time and party size and see which rule is blocking the request. This is the quickest way to separate a capacity-rule problem from a floorplan problem.

Do not fix availability by guessing

Avoid raising every limit simply to make one booking fit. First identify the rule that is blocking the request, then decide whether the service genuinely has room for an exception.
