Floorplan overview

The Floorplan gives TablePace the physical seating information it needs for automatic assignment and live Service Mode.

It does not need to be an architectural drawing. It needs to be operationally accurate: the right tables, the right capacities and the right combinations.

What to model

For each table, make sure TablePace knows:

• the table code staff use, such as T1 or BAR3;
• its shape and approximate size;
• its real maximum seated capacity;
• its position in the room;
• any intentional combination with other tables.

Draft versus published

You edit a draft floorplan. Guests and live service continue using the currently published version until you publish the new revision.

This lets you work on changes without unexpectedly moving the live venue to an unfinished layout.

Floorplans and services

A recurring service needs a published floorplan bound to it before TablePace can confidently recommend or assign tables for that service.

If lunch uses a different room or layout from dinner, bind the appropriate published layout to each service rather than trying to make one visual represent two different operating setups.

Start simple

For first-time setup, build the normal room accurately and publish it. Add advanced combinations and refinements after you have proven a test booking through the full flow.
